About Us
The informal association "Ajdi" is interested in research, study and primarily revival of old Slovenian faith. We are striving to prove wrong the modern society's prevailing conviction that mythology, which is said to be the blood of a nation, is a matter of the past. It is through tradition (myths, legends and folklore), history, linguistics and similar knowledge that we shed a new light on folk beliefs in a comprehensible manner.
The web page is not merely a collection of various materials, it is also the presentation of the association that strives to strenghten the interest in some almost forgotten folk celebrations in a positive and active manner. The web page also presents our cultural activities, some of them have already been finished, while some are still in progress. We try to utilize various fine arts as a medium to convey our message.
